Merry Christmas ~ Friday - Christmas Eve

Friday was a full day for us. We got up in the morning and I headed out to the mall. I did some last minute shopping and then I went and got my hair done. I did some more shopping (groceries) and then made it home.

Just in time for my favourite thing about Christmas.... Cinnamon buns! They have been in our family FOREVER. We always make them. I'm really looking forward to making them myself in our own house one year.

This year Jack and I got to punch instead of the kids. They get to do it next year:























After helping us the kids went off to have a nap. Once they woke up they were off to the N64. Uncle Jack and Daddy couldn't resist:







We took the chance to "try" and do family photos. This is what we ended up with:





Around 7pm or so our family came over. Everyone arrived and we had some yummy Chinese food. It was SO good. We all visited and played some games. I love our Christmas Eve fun.



















After all our guests were gone the boys got their PJ's on and got every thing ready for Santa.












Jack, Nana and I got working in the kitchen to prep everything for the next days breakfast. It was so nice. It made breakfast so much faster.

Merry Christmas! Wednesday/Thursday

Merry Christmas Everyone! Yes I know I'm late but things have been CRAZY here!

Here's a Recap:

We headed out Wednesday night, late! I think we drove out of the driveway around 9pm. We started our route to Nana and Papa's house. We arrived around midnight I think and got the kiddos off to bed ASAP. Then we crawled into bed and got some sleep.

Nana was nice enough on Thursday morning to take the kids downstairs so we could get some extra sleep. But once I hear Q talking I'm up for the day. He is my alarm clock! The boys played outside in the snow. Nana and Papa's backyard was just waiting for them!







Arnold and the boys shoveled a big hill in the back yard. For some reason we didn't get a photo of it, but they had fun!


We had Kyler's Godmother, and her family, come over. It was great. Their family is good friends with our family. And we were SO pleased that everyone could come! We all hung out and got to open gifts. Godmother Leah (and "Uncle Pat") got Kyler some legos and her sister "Auntie Jessie" (and "Uncle Mike") got them a cool box to put them in. I wish I had one of those boxes when we were little.























I'll post the other days later, for now I need to get my house clean!!

Yummy Food!

For Christmas I wanted a bread maker, in fact for a while now I've wanted one. When we moved into this house we figured it wasn't going to fit. Which is ok I guess but I still wanted one!

A few weeks ago my parents dug out their bread maker and brought it here to Toronto for me to borrow. I was so excited! I love trying out new "toys".

Last night I finally got to make some bread. Arnold headed out and got some yeast for the bread and I got everything together. I made the "rapid-rise bread" and it takes about 2 hours. Arnold stayed up for about 1 hour then he had to get some sleep. I stayed up for all of it and WOW was it worth it.

Blessed: I am blessed with warm clothes. Lately our house has been 'chilly' and I am very blessed with warm clothes and the ability to put warmer clothes on when I'm cold.
