Q's ST Week #8 - Last one!

Today was the last ST for Q this session. We have now started our 2 months off. Sometime in August/Sept 2010 we will be getting a call for our new assessment!

Our homework for today's session was to bring in a bag with some 'toys' for the ST to talk about with Q. We put it in Q's "Bulk Barn" bag, so that brought on some work play! Q pulled out his toys. Which included a "hammer", "camera", "elephant", "glasses" and a "doctor's/dentist's tool". He used all of his words and came out with things like "I have a ______". I was happy with it.

Right after this they played with the balloons. There were 4 today. One had on it "hearts", another had a number "two" and a different one had the number "one" on it as well as the last one had animals on it (we didn't get that far but I think storks with babies, elephants and bears). They "pumped" up the "air" in the "balloon" and talk about how each of the main thins on the balloon were getting "bigger" or "big" and eventually they "take balloon off", and "let it go!". It was fun for them!

Q and his ST went to the kitchen and got a glass of water. Q is having issues with his saliva building up in his mouth and forgets to swallow! So today they had a cup and practice feeling the swallow in their throats and how to do it without liquid. This is something they want us to work on this summer.

Then they read a book about "mess" in the "house" and the "mud" tracks all over the place. Eventually it was found out that "Daddy" made the "mess".

Once the book was over they played a matching game. Q's not the best at it and was really 'dancing' around today but that's ok. He did just fine.

We headed out with a letter with some things to work on this summer and a good luck! I'm hoping our assessment in August shows our hard work paying off!!!!
