Anyway around 9am Rachel came over. She is our wonderful babysitter. Amber and I went out and did some girl shopping and the boys stayed home with Rachel. Amber and I went to Zellers and found some clothes for her for the next little bit, and hopefully for the summer. We got her 2 cute tops and 1 pair of pants (that matches the top) and one bottom that is a "skirt" but has shorts under it. Perfect for their gymnastics. We also picked her up a pair of running shoes since that seemed to be a problem. Oh and some undies! Amber informed me that hers were a bit "not fitting" as she said so we grabbed some more.
Just as we got to the front of the store we remembered that she forgot her toothbrush as well and she wanted one that "went in circles" so we found 3 "crayola toothbrushes" for the kids.
We got home shortly around 10:30am and Rachel headed home for a bit. The kids played around (after Amber did a fashion show of her new stuff) and we had some lunch. They all drew some pictures for "Mr. Steve" our landlord. It was so cute. Each did their own thing about the movies. Q's had Amber, Kyler and himself and "Mr. Steve" going to the movies.
Amber had her watching Cinderella:
And Kyler had our family and "Mr. Steve" watching Tangled:
It was adorable. We also made a nice card saying. "Thank you Mr. Steve" From each of the kids.
About 12:30pm Rachel came back and we got the kids loaded into the van. We drove over to the movie theater and got to go and see Gnomeo and Juliet. It was a very cute move and the kids really seemed to enjoy it.
Once the movie was finished we popped back into the van and went over to M&M Meat shop and got some chicken nuggets for dinner. Rachel stayed in the car with the kids and I ran in and ran out. We went home and all went to the bathroom, played with our new toys from the kinder egg in the kids popcorn package; and then had a nap.
Sure none of them wanted it but as you can tell from my last blog post, the ALL took one! I even got in a workout!
Around 5:30pm Quinton woke up and I started supper. Arnold came home shortly afterwards and we had supper once threats of being put in a cold tub woke up the other 2.
Our supper was "Amber's Choice" tonight. We had chicken nuggets and smile-face french fries. The kids really enjoyed it. Even more so with their chocolate milk in the new cups from the movie.
After supper I had to go to a meeting and the kids were home with Arnold. They cleaned up, went for a 2 block walk and came home to make their beds, play some video games and eventually go to bed.
It's now 10:30pm and they are still talking in their beds. I'm thinking of threatening taking away their gymnastics if they don't go to bed soon.
Funny story of the day:
While Amber and I were talking in the car when driving to Zellers Amber was telling me she doesn't go to the same church as the rest of her family. She said her Grandma and Grandpa go to a different church than she does. And that they go to the church by her house. A few moments later she told me her parents weren't married at that church... they were married at MOPS!
