Funny Olympic Moments

So today we are watching the Olympics on TV. As some of you may or may not know we are do not have cable TV, nor rabbit ears or anything like that. Today... things have changed. NO we did not get cable or satellite or anything like that instead we are borrowing some "rabbit ears" from Arnolds work and the kids are enjoying it to no end!

It's so cute to watch the kids. We don't have TV normally on so this is exciting. And for our children who are "on-demand" kids aren't sure what to do about all this. The commercials repeat (to which we have heard alot of "HEY! I've seen that already mommy!") and the opening ceremonies aren't starting right when they want. Hopefully we can keep this up.

Kyler is liking that some of the news it about his "Toronto Maple LEAFS" even if they do suck right now (second last) they have a game tonight and he is so excited about that.

Papa's Car's are on the TT! (or so my kids call it) I guess there is something with the nascars going on.

We just watched the video clip where someone was killed. It's so sad and so hard. I can't believe what a horrible thing to happen on the first day of the Olympics! The poor team. There was only 9 of them. What a tight knit family. Our prayers are with them. Team Gerogia Will remain. Good for them

Watching a bell commercial - Mommy, why do those people live on a letter? That's silly! Q - oh no! They are going up the number!

Arnold just came home with some "Canadian Cake" (White chocolate Raspberry frozen cake from M&M Meats - best ever!), treat pop (1 crush and 2 mountain due), and some nachos and nacho cheese. Q's reaction "Hiphip or ray! Hiphip or ray!!!"

These kiddos are too funny. They repeat random words they hear from commercials. I wish some of the commercials that weren't so 'adult' for our little boys.

Quinton is running through the house with his hands out straight (or behind him) "skiing" or "skating". It's so cute! I love watching him ski.

They were just doing some 'random information/clips' and they showed the inukshuk statue. Q's response "Wow! what a big guy!"

K - Mommy, can the Olympics take a big huge airplane and come to my gym?

I think we are going to the Pan Am Games in 2015 in Toronto. K really wants to go and I think that might actually be affordable.

K - Mommy, how long until the Animals come out? (I think he is getting his celebrations for the Chinese new year and the Olympics mixed up)

Q - YEAH!! Toronto Maple Leafs!!! (while they are clapping for the Canadian Flag coming out) It's a big Maple Leaf Flag!

While the drum in the middle is being played Kyler asked how everyone is going to get around it and play together. He is worried it isn't big enough!

Me personally was in tears when Georgia came out. What an incredible team.

As the commercials start again K - HEY! go back! Mmmmmmmooooommmmm go back!

This whole commercials thing is not working for Kyler. This next set he asked "Mom, is it done?" When I told him no he asked why we stopped. Last commercial break we told him because people need to get paid, this time we told him it was for a potty break. We asked if he needed to go potty and he said "No! But maybe those people jumping up and down do" (the dancers on the tv)

If you ask my boys what kind of sports there are in the Olympics there is Skiing, Skating, and flipping! I wonder what sport that is.

K - "Why are those guys waving at us?!?"

mom..... why are there wales in there? and where did all the water come from?

Why are they peeing???? (when the tree turned gold)

Q - his shadow moves!

Q - the guy is going! up in the air! oh no! mommy he is falling down. He is falln in the water

K *whimpering* "a thunder storm." Q - a bagging storm, and lights!

Q (while the woman was singing the olympics song) she is Angry!!!!!
