See... In April/May we started our indoor garden. Quinton and I planted seeds and had a blast! We got to water them, watch them grow and enjoy every moment of it. The boys were so excited at every stage. They were very excited to know that eventually they would be making them into "Halloween Pumpkins!"
Seeing as we planted them in the house and rather early our first few got ready, well early!
We had to take them out of the garden before it got too much, and started to rot.
On Monday this past week we got our Halloween Costumes at Costco. I have a policeman:
And a Cute Fireman:
Aren't those little men cute?
They have been begging to wear their costumes all week. Eventually we talked to our neighbours and were able to have them help us out a bit. I offered to give them some candy to give to the kids but I was assured they would have something for them.
Thursday night we headed out to the backyard and picked our pumpkins (the 2 orange ones).

Checking out the sizes and the snails:
Time to pick them up and move to the 'cleaning center':
On Friday around 5pm we started our pumpkins. Seeing as Mommy is the *only one* in our house that puts her hands into pumpkins I didn't get any other photos than this one:
At 6pm my little Trick'or'treat'ers headed out. They brought their pumpkins outside to sit in the garden and got their photos with them:
Then the boys headed out to the neighbours to show off their costumes, pumpkins and get some candy!
After our adventures in TOT'ing we headed inside. The boys watched a WTP movie and we used our Halloween cups and plates.
Daddy went outside and got some great shots of their pumpkins. We used these cool lights we found that are LED ones and perfect for pumpkins!
Now we are instilling a new virtue in our children... Patience. That is until the "Real" Halloween comes in October.
